What Is Activity Map

Activity Map is a browser plug-in that shows which areas of a site were clicked the most—showing which areas are the most popular. It is supposed to rank the activity levels for different links on the website and show it on a visual overlay. These short-term and real-time analytics help by measuring visitor engagement on webpages as they happen.

Marketers can set up different views in which they can visually pinpoint when customer activity picks up speed. They can also quantitatively measure how well marketing efforts worked and respond to the needs of their audience. Using this plug-in is as simple as downloading it from the Adobe Analytics tools, installing it, and clicking it to launch it from a webpage. Once signed in, the application will display its toolbar and overlays.

Our featured example Techxperts uses Activity Map to track the performance of links on their mobile website’s homepage while they have a flat 20% sale on all items. The date range set is 15 days, and the metric is Page Views.
